Join us for an evening of contemporary choral music, with nine newly composed songs for double choir by Royal College of Music master’s student John William Griffith II. The pieces take the listener on a newcomer’s journey through London, with poetry by Sharon Morris inspiring reflections on our innate desire for natural landscapes within complex metropolitan ones, how we compromise this desire in favour of the opportunities afforded by city life, and how we still manage to define a sense of “home” wherever we are.
Tickets are £8, online or at the door. There will be wine and beer offered after the concert, and a chance to meet the singers and the composer.
